Once again the high quality of entries, along with the fact that we had a load of spare character sheets for the associated "Escape the Aylum" boardgame meant that there were TWO sets of figures available to buy from the third of our Pro-Am Sculpting Competitions!

Asylum Set Two

This second set of figures, which were available for only 8 pounds (including worldwide postage) between December 2006 and February 2007 are fantastic figures for collectors of pulp horror miniatures. They also all have rules for appearing as alternative characters in Woteva Games' amazing "Escape the Aylum" boardgame, which will be e-mailed as a free PDF to everyone purchasing any of the Sculpting Competition sets this year.

+++ UPDATE +++

Sales closed for thes figures on the 7th of FEBRUARY 2007!

Some will be re-released by their the original sculptors (perhaps with some adjustments) while others will be sucked into a non-Euclidean universe forever.

Michael "Mabus" Brand's Cultist figures will now be available singly from Hasslefree Miniatures: pre-order from 12th March 2007

The "More Madness Set" contains sculpts by:

Richard "Woody" Ansell, who tops this year's leaderboard with a 2nd and 3rd placing in the "Staff" and a joint third in the "Visitors" categories to add to his "Inmates" category winner 'Lunatic 06' (see the Winners Set). We bring you all three in the "More Madness" set:

  • Reverend Nice: The genial pastor who brings comfort (and a suspicous looking brown case) to the most troubled of inmates
  • "Nurse" Steders: Crazier than any of the patients, General Orderly Steders carries a huge veterinary syringe and a maniacal desire to extract revenge from an uncaring world through random acts of cruelty
  • Doctor Hasslehoff, lead surgeon and asylum governor, makes up for his short stature by leading the world in Psychosurgical Techniques with Unexpected Outcomes

Not far behind (with a big machete) was Michael "Mabus" Brand, who sculpted the "Visitor" category winner "Sarah . . . little girl with Cthulhu doll" in addition to:

  • Possibly the scariest entry in the "Inmates" category (and that took some doing), Bob is a "Raving Loon with a Big Knife" who is now running around the asylum in his pants. They should really take more care to conceal the door codes in the high security wards.
  • You know it is time to worry when even the cultists from the abandoned tunnels are making a run for it! The "Visitor / Interloper" runner up is a Diabolical Cultist for every occasion. Except hen parties. - Now available singly from Hasslefree Miniatures along with the Michael's other two cultist entries

Finally we also bring you Daniel "Crusoe the Painter" Joyce's vision of a Tormented Soul, the spirit of an inmate allowed to die in one of the Asylum's unusually frequent and horrific 'accidents'. Don't worry, we've got Daniel on a course of ether and Chlorpromazine and he is doing much better now.
