x-box one game recommendations

Postby DemonEtrigan » Sun Jun 07, 2015 12:44 pm

Finally getting back to a flat where I have enough space for stuff so hopefully will get my PC resetup and working but I also have access to an x-box one and wondered what games were worth playing?

All my console friends are loving the Witcher III at the moment.

Destiny seems like it's one to go for. All my mates are addicted, and it is beautiful.

Yet ultimately an empty experience I thought. I was totally unengaged by it. It is beautiful though.
I've just started Dyinglight and I have to say I'm enjoying it. The difficulty is high and I think the Parkour thing is a bit daft BUT, its the closest I've been to getting the feeling of surrounded by Zeds whilst you try to do something. Closing doors is actually worthwhile. Not sure about the night time nasty's though, I'll have to play it abit more.

My favourite so far has been Alien Isolation, very creepy, but you get to do lots of the cool stuff in a similar manner to Alien & Aliens, including getting regularly torn to bits by Aliens, suffocated by Fachuggers and having to deal with angry androids.

Cheers

Witcher 3, you dont need anything else. Playing it on PS4, I think it's the best open world action RPG ever, much better quests than in Skyrim and an insane number of them (or you can just roam the countryside), looks nice enough (although Skyrim looks nice too, especially modded on PC), great combat etc. Also: Gwent is a fun mini-game in it.

Elite Dangerous has finally been announced for the Xbone. It's already on PC and Mac, so it was no surprise they'd port it to that console.
