Anyway, I've been doing a bit of delving into this Elite Kickstarter, and there's a comment on it that sums up my worries:

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/146 ... nt-1684385

He's trying it on is Braben, by the sounds of it. He's got fuck all to show for something that's been nothing but vapourware for years. Even Duke Nukem got made in the end. I find this kickstarter campaign very dodgy indeed :?

Avoid like it be the plague!

oh and

Hermit wrote:Braben must be fucking joking with these pledge add-ons:

?15 for fucking sheet music!
?50 for a poxy mug and a T-Shirt!
?500 for a crappy model ship!

Now that really does tell me that he's going for a cash-grab with extortionate prices like that. Maybe he should think about putting up some recently made game footage as an update, because the updates up to now have been all half-arsed with work that may, or may not, have been done recently (he's had over ten years on this, remember).

I was having second thoughts about pledging for this game, but now I'm absolutely NOT going anywhere near it!

Fuck that!

I think I'll call you Frank from now on 0:)

 Aye, Star Citizen's made me look like a proper cunt, make no mistake about that. I have no excuses there.

I've been hearing that some who've pledged on Star Citizen have been getting their money back by contacting support because the game's changed from what they originally backed. Not sure if that's true, though. I think that might just be kickstarter backers.

I backed them before their kickstarter, so I'm probably fucked :(

To be fair though Hermit, £50 for a mug and a t-shirt does takes the fucking piss. And for the model to be worth £500 it would have to be huge, detailed and come with a blowjob from Braben's favourite porn star. Unless that happens to be Ron Jeremy.

I still haven't got my invite for the PvP in Star Citizen yet and I was one of the original backers. Bastard subscribers get preference again :cuss:

And the game is still playing shitly. You're still just tumbling through space in an arcade mode, and the last update just added more bugs to it than before

Annoyingly, still there.

I did find it funny that the users on the FD forums are calling Arena Commander "Mouse Commander"

Well, I had a go at multiplayer. It took ages to finally get on there. I gave up after an hour at the first attempt. The second attempt I made earlier today. It kept stalling on the loading pages and then throwing me back into the hangar like before. When I did finally get into a battle, it was so buggy that it was almost impossible to do anything. Ships kept on jerking around like they were teleporting all over the place and the flight mechanics are still shite :(

So I've decided to wait until the next patch update.
