Welcome to the Board Game Froth Zone

Postby UnclEvl » Thu Feb 02, 2006 6:50 pm

Love it or hate it, here it is - the first new froth zone in an age dedicated to all things sorta flat and board like.

Board games have seen something of a rennaissance in the past couple of years, with a whole host of shiny new titles, as well as some buffed up and collagen implanted new ones, hitting the shelves monthly.

So whatever your diversion of interest when 'proper' gaming just isn't an option, have a froth about it here.

Oooo, confrontational. Like it.

Not many BGs include buckets of lovingly hand daubed metal masterpieces though do they, which to many a frothers' eye would mean it's not a 'proper' game. Just some sort of fickle, wet-sunday amusement really.

Rather like the difference between a carefree drunken one night shag and 40-years of soul-crushing marriage. Or not.

In fairness I have played wargames that are like 40 years of soul-crushing marriage.

Only longer. :?

There are those of us that like that sort of Amusement, as do our spouses.

SPI's War in The Pacific comes to mind.
