Incidentally, it's only my IE 8 that displays 'The free for all web forums' on the top banner.

What version are you using - and do you get the drop shadow blur effect?

Latest Chrome at home... and its horrid - drop shadow and a world of grey.

At work... IE8 - but it looks better (as there is grey between the white text boxes), although the font is teeny and the layout still is poo.

Firefox 19.0.2.
"The free-for-all web forums" logo shows at the top .
Stark white is a bit of a strain as my eyesight is far from perfect!
The shadow effect doesn't show on my screen but I seem to remember clicking a setting to eliminate the shadow effect on something, Firefox, addons or what, I don't remember.

I am using the latest version of Chrome, the text in this 'quick reply' box almost blends into the white which is weird. I also get the shadow - it's very fine but that actually makes it worse. It is really fucking up my eyes to be honest. I have to keep highlighting the page or passage of text I am reading so it isn't so bad.

Single lines are tolerable, just.

As for use on mobile devices - both on my tablet and mobile phone (both samsung and android) I struggle to navigate effectively due to the smallness of the sub forum icons. As mentioned elsewhere the increased number of sub forums which replaced single forums in some cases, will be a bigger drain on data useage. Might not mean anything to people on contracts with unlimited data usage but for those that are it will become a pain in the arse.
