Not that they'd run out of ideas, but a look at this year's Mardi Gras season might point the way.

I don’t believe it, the impossible has happened. Zé do Caixão Is dead! Truly we have reached end times.

Fun fact: My mother in-law used to rent his house in Porto Seguro.

I told you it was ‘end times’. Under normal circumstances I would:

a) Support striking workers. (Cops are pretty much the exception)

b) Happily endorse shooting anyone related or connected to Ciro Gomes.

c) Would be gobsmacked if the current crop of AIB wannabes would support anyone on strike (see Petrobras workers as an example)

OK my Mangueira has edged them out, if only because every fundy, evangelical, shit eater and a few of the more rabid Catholic ones are going to be pissed off. Evelyn Bastos, the black, female Jesus was brilliant.

The police helicopters on União da Ilha‘s float were a nice touch but the rest of it looked a bit tired. Viradouro’s Ethel Merman tribute was just, er... weird and wet.

My respect for Alcione has never been higher. Can’t believe Viradouro won. Oh well.

Upside is that despite injuries, despite red cards, despite the combined weight of argentino and uruguaio mental defectives on the take, we have taken our third bit of silverware for the year and with only ten men on the field. Outro patamar mesmo!

By the way, seen Bacarau yet? It’s really good. Pissed myself laughing at the end, imagining our TNP friends in that situation.
