Does anyone, right or left, think the economy does not need a reboot at a minimum? Is pushing for a return to the status quo of an mid-twentieth century industrial America anything but stupid?
The top 1% control more wealth than the bottom 60%. Finance capital further concentrates that wealth. The retail and industrial sectors are going to shed over 4 million jobs in the next few years to automation.
Global climate change is real and will affect everyone's grandchildren badly without regard of wealth, power or position.
China among others are playing a longer and smarter game by investing more heavily in AI, climate change and infrastructure than the US.
Call it what you will but a radical approach to the economy is at least recognizing there is a problem as opposed to say, bringing back coal.
Note however, AOC got exactly 3 other votes on her last effort. She may be raising issues but she is far from driving the bus.
