Looking for a fat git?

Postby Juuso » Fri Oct 28, 2016 10:49 am

No, it's not what you think... A while back (could be a year ago?) someone posted a green of a grossly obese big dude in scanty (or no) clothing and with no weapons (or some simple one, easy to remove). Maybe an ogre or similar? It wasn't available from anyone at the time, but apparently it might get cast eventually. Yeah, one of those vague things... I don't suppose anyoone knows what I am talking about or what happeded to the green?

I remember thinking that I need to keep an eye on this, so naturally I didn't save the pic or the link to that thread. :loopy: I am pretty sure it was on this forum though.

Ah found it myself googling for fat ogre:

Apparently for 'deraj studios', wonder if they're still around and trading? Doesn't look too good.

Hah, that is actually my sculpt. Well, they -deraj studios that is- did a Kickstarter of late, but this sculpt was planned for later release. I will write the owner and will get back to you, if I find out anything.

Hello Juuso,
We're still around don't worry =]
Currently in the process of fulfilling our first kickstarter (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/10 ... miniatures, the backerkit where we're taking preorders is here: https://slavic-fantasy-miniatures.backe ... preorders/).
Once we finish it, the plan is to launch a kickstarter in early winter of 2017, about a year from now, for a lot of fey and swamp creature miniatures that we've created over the years (including the fat git you're looking for  ).

Thank you for your interest!

Not to massively resurrect this several years dead thread but if the OP and any others are interested, the fat git in question and a whole slew of other miniatures (even fatter gits! ) are being released through our kickstarter campaign (https://tinyurl.com/ybp47z8q) we're still attempting to hit funding so if you could, any and all support (whether through backing or spreading the word) would be much appreciated!

Thank you!

Sincerely,
Jared Anderson of Deraj Studios

Oh right, that was one from my wants list... thanks for the update Jared. I checked out the KS and it seems this fellow is not as big as I had hoped, around 32mm I think? I was hoping for even bigger lad, in ogre size more or less. It's pity, because otherwise it would have been perfect.

Not really, I need something more primitive and beastly looking. Thanks for the suggestion though. Maybe i will get some plastic (?) ogres and just convert them?
