Errr.... on second thought maybe I'll take that crossbow after all.
Starting up a new Warhammer game this weekend (1st edition) and was brushing up on the rules and just wow... Could have sworn there were some advantage to gunpowder weapons versus the bow and crossbow but apparently ye olde blunderbuss did completely suck and was only there for 'cool' value. Unless I'm missing some rule tucked away in there. I think I'm remembering some second edition AD&D arquebus rules combined with Call of Cthulhu's impale roll.
There's nothing I'm missing is there? Guns are complete rubbish in WHFRP 1st edition, correct?

I believe there were some more firearms out there in the Apocrypha book but this mostly mimics very early Warhammer where guns were not much cop.
2nd edition WFRP is where they became a more viable weapon.
