Anomalous Subsurface environment

this is a D&D / OD&D mega dungeon - super imaginative, completely gonzo swords and science stuff - really creative world building and an interesting (non generic fantasy) way to use the D&D system...

would certainly reccomend as a model of someone taking D&D and completely twisting it for fun..

Its almost conan meets Jack vance and together they play paranoia on acid...

anyway, worth a look I think...

There's some good stuff for ASE at the Dungeon of Signs blog too:

I'd seen that site, thanks monkeyborg. :)

have been running this for perhaps 3 sessions now - the background is starting to settle in for the main players and they have just about cleared the gatehouse.. and are on the cusp of opening the actual dungeon (subsurface environment level 1).

I need a few images of the key monsters in level one - there are 3 factions...Morlocks, goblins and something called screechmen - I need a suitable image for screechmen to show the group at the 1st encounter...

they are:
"These degenerate humanoids may have had human ancestors in the distant past, but they bear only slight resemblance to men in the current day.
They are pigmentless albinos, entirely eyeless, with massive pointed ears, mouths full of fangs, and claws on their hands and feet. Both males and females may be encountered in a group, and both are equally vicious. They do not wear clothing, and attack with their filthy claws.

The screechmen use echolocation to find their prey. Rather than the quiet clicks of bats, the screechmen issue horrible screams at regular intervals. It is thus virtually impossible to be surprised by a screechman.
On the flip side, these screams are letting the screechmen know about the party’s presence, so it
is impossible to surprise a screaming screechman. It is also incredibly hard to escape a screechman hunting party, as their screams allow them to “see”as far as 120’"

as you can imagine, these are going to be fun to introduce - slowly at 1st....

so - anyone got any ideas or know of a Scifi or fantasy trope I could shamelessly rip off for a eyeless /sightless albino humanoid, lots of teeth and big ears?

The Falmer from Skyrim might fit the bill.

These any good for you? Residual eyes & the ears aren't prominent, but otherwise they look to fit your bill

deffo on the way there... (who makes em?)

Im looking for pictures (not neccesaarily of minis) - to show players, and then to use on outside of ,my screen, building a visual reference library through play, to help the players get into the groove a bit (and build a shared vision of the world)...

more if anyone has any ideas?
