Season 2 remains pretty strong and season 3 is due in the first quarter of 2018, lets hope they don't fuck it up.
I think the series profits from having mostly unknown actors / actresses, as opposed to "Oh, they were in BSG, so they will be great in more Sci Fi". Although me and others who have read the books still think Alex is FAR too handsome (supposed to be a paunchy balding nondescript middle aged man), but the actor playing Amos has nailed the role...
If the series entices you into reading the books (Season 1 is bits of books 1 & 2 +/- various bits and pieces), do NOT bother beyond book 4, it turns into very tedious malarky...
