Doctor Who

I preferred it when they were 'companions'.

Assistant sounds so work ethicy.

They'll be rebranded as 'Tardis trained colleagues' before you know it.

They're on zero hours contracts with the Doctor so it's appropriate.

Post-Yewtree I think 'companion' has some issues.

Does the concept of zero-hours contracts really work with time travel? After all they are usually back at the same time they started, so they've done the work but incurred no pay (don't let Sports Direct read this, they'll start research).

Perhaps she's the Doctor's intern?

I've got to say that as only a casual viewer of Dr Who, I found Capaldi a real disappointment.
I really wanted to like him too, I love him in The Three Musketeers, and saw him play a magnificently manic Leonardo Da Vinci in a Documentary, so the part of the Doctor seems made for him, and he has his moments, but unfortunately overall he just seems dull and out of place amongst the silly, high energy camp of Dr. Who IMHO. :(

And they all lived happily ever after, no explanation needed, no PTSD and also a complete mockery of all the character building about the Doctor, innocent deaths and moving on from the previous episodes.

Suchet was great though.

And it's the master in the safe then?

Oxygen was great, there's a real good space zombies scenario in that.

Loved the 'suits' line

For a three parter I was expecting more carnage. Interesting ideas, I just think it could have been better.

Next week it looks like Space 1889: Colonial British versus Ice Warriors.

I am looking forward to it. I bet the Colonial Brits are not stereotypical racist thugs led by an idiot toff, at all, and actually kick ice-warrior butt after they build a central redoubt of mealie-bags....Yes, that's my bet.
