The Whisperer in Darkness

There being no "Radio Zone", I'm posting here. This just popped up on my newsfeed:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.co ... k-50811720

Read the story, long ago, but never heard of the podcast. Question: anyone here follow it? Worth a listen?

Oops -- make that "two questions".

It is brilliant. I thoroughly enjoyed it but I suggest you start with the first series - The Strange Case of Charles Dexter Ward - as the new story follow on from that. I think it will still work ok as a stand alone but some of the back story would be lost.
Set in current times and done as a if it is by the makers of a podcast. Several clever links to real people and events that mess with your head when you google and wikipedia too much of it. I disappeared down several web rabbit holes.

Hey, thanks -- I thought no one was listening!

I'll look for CDW. I see I'm in for some long sessions with the headphones.

It's all here

https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p06spb ... /downloads

None of it bears much resemblance to Lovecraft's stories, but then again Moffat and Gatiss Dracula doesn't bear much resemblance to Stoker's story either.

On trend BBC...
