15mm rogue samurai sculpt.

Postby nice-vans » Thu Apr 13, 2017 12:56 am

I've been watching alot of samurai jack over the week and realised i needed a good samurai to match my sci-fi 15mm sculpts.

All C&C is welcome.

That's great, bags of character, which ain't easy in 15mm.

I don't know much about samurai dress, is that supposed to be a bloke or a woman?
general pose, arched back and width of hips and the way the belt's sitting suggests woman to me. (but it seems to be dressed pretty gender neutrally and going for a mysterious look, so at that scale who could tell the difference anyway?)
It's nice, whichever it is!

I honestly couldn't tell you the first thing about traditional samurai costume, This is just based a rough sculpt of samurai jack.
As to gender, Eh, it could be either depending on need.I prefer my characters to have a cool ambiguity to them and 15mm suits that. You cqn imagine the belt as sitting on hips, or being tied around the midrif and hanging down, It's too small in real life to stand out too much.

Excellent work. Love 15mm figs and this ranks with the best.

I don't know about that, But i'll take the compliment all the same.
Many thanks.

I'm currently sculpting up a second similar figure that can be cast without difficulty, And will hopefully have a few test casts for sale in the next month or two.
