Silent Hill Sculpts 2013

Postby moonmin82 » Thu Mar 07, 2013 11:42 pm

Just wanted to share a few Silent Hill sculpts I've been working on lately. All of which from Silent Hill2.

The first is my second attempt at the Mannequin creature (40mm tall):

I sculpted it over a day and painted it the next (if memory serves me correctly) and took 4 hours at a guess.

The second is my first attempt at a Lying creature:

Whilst not my greatest work I'm very proud as it took me only an hour or two. I look forward to painting it!

The third is the wonderful Pyramid Head:

I actually started this in 2007 or so and it's been gathering dust since I lost his sword long long ago. I've suddenly found the motivation to continue and had the spark to end the creative block that stalled work.[/img]

Disturbing pieces!
I've been always wonderign that's the deal with the Pyramid Head thing: was there any fluff about it in the game? Or is just looks cool?

Some interesting stuff there... just remember to try and keep those details sharp :) .

If you didn't know, you can get a pyramid head type character here:

I believe there are a few theories on Pyramid Head. If memory serves me correctly in Silent Hill 2 he is a masculine figure (phallic imagery in the Pyramid and huge sword) and a representation of the sexual frustration (and hinted abuse) of the main protagonist regarding his terminally ill wife.

There is also this very cool (and I believe official) sculpt soon to be released:

you can have my caffeine when you pry it from my cold dead hands. And possibly not even then.
