I can't believe the quality of some of these sculpts, it's almost enough to make be give up trying to learn, they're that that good.

How in the name of god does anyone sculpt like this?

I've got nothing to show off yet unless you include a pile of greenstuff armatures-in-corks but I'm making reasonable progress so hopefully I'll be sculpting for real by Xmas.

A Stone Giant I did earlier this year on a private commission. Not my concept I should point out.

Very interesting. Was this a commercial range or a private project?

Full on commercial venture, Dungeon, Monsters, Scenery and a selection of Heroes taken from the existing Pendraken ranges.
Links to the ranges are here.
They even ran a sculpting competition earlier this year with people making new monsters for the dungeon.

You take a good mini and you make the right arm weird and stick the head on in the wrong place?

And of course make sure that you do absolutely NO research whatsoever on how you actually fire a bow so that you get it wrong when you sculpt :)

I know what Brett Booth would say about that. "I'm too busy and lazy to properly research my subject, dammit!"
