Halfling Snipers... plus others.

Seeing as photobucket killed my last thread, I thought I'd start a new one that wasn't corrupted by placeholders.

It was always my intention to include some Halfling/Ratling snipers in my Squat army but I wanted plastic or resin... and to be honest, the new Ratling snipers looked a bit too like mini Catachans for my taste so it was obvious that I'd have to sculpt my own.

As a result... that's what I did and I ended up with these:




When I posted them, a few people suggested that I should get them cast... so I did:

I have been painting a set and have nearly finished. Just have to highlight the leaves and sort out the bases now :

Shadow Wars allows the Astra Militarum (humans) to take sniper weapons as a specialist so my plan is to use one for that. I may have a couple to sell depending on how they are sold with luck...

Someone mentioned mini Wookies (Ork 56) but I didn't want to be a copy-cat so I made something different :



Seeing as sales have dried up, it makes sense to do something else with them

In other news, I have actually started painting my Squat army... I know... crazy talk !

Anyway, here's a rough base-coat on my three Berserkers (count as Ministorum Priests):



Next will be a tidy up, wash and highlight... but I'll be doing that one at a time (so I can see finished progress ).
