I wonder how badly Titan Foirge are hurting themselves by the structure of their campaign. I mean, the higher pledge levels only make rather limited sense unless you know that cool character you really want has already been funded...

Reaper is on the bandwagon. They want to raise $30K to fast-track the next 30 pieces in their Bones unpainted plastic line. They've revealed the first stretch goal too, at $50K they will add four more figures to the $100 pledge reward and the production schedule. I'm betting they'll hit at least $100K.

I thought the Imp was having a laugh, but I went to the Reaper site and it's true. Them Bones seem to be so popular that 1/3 of all the product they're shipping is Bones models.

Kickstarting the whole thing seems wise for them.

67 models for $100 looks great, but shipping is a bit high at $25 for anyone outside of USA and Canada.

Im wondering if they might get in some trouble with KS for the Naked Sophie on the motorcycle, One of KS rules is no pornography and nude models could be perceived as that by people outside the hobby.

The truth is far funnier than any lie I've ever told. ;)

I just realised that one of the rewards was one their CAV ogre masters in solid silver talk about bling.. :loopy:

Anyway I looked at it and tbh I only want the $15 level at the moment all the other bit's I would rather pick up here and there..
That said I would like to see a breakdown of what the $60 pledge has in it.
I'll probably end up going for the $15 at some point later in the month even with shipping it works out at ?13 in real monies.

What you see is what you get. The $100 deal adds 37 more pieces, plus all of the stretch goals. I have a feeling that its going to turn into a massive deal.

I predict a period of Kickstarter shock syndrome when people start getting their credit card statements and realising they've massively overstretched their hobby budget.
How this will effect the rest of the hobby market and even future Kickstarter projects remains to be seen.
In my case the Sedition Wars kickstarter used up my yearly figure budget in one go, so I'm not looking to buy anything much now.

Good question. I'm wrestling with it too. I don't like plastics, but want to see Reaper and Red Box succeed.

Kickstarter is obviously which way the wind is blowing, but I too, wonder how many the biz can take.
