Yeah, the joke here is that if Defiance had even managed to do as much as one amateur has, this thread wouldn't even exist. Fair play to him.

I think it basically looks terrific, but for some reason the sculptor hasn't completed the final step and sharpened the details.
I am baffled, he's stopped about two hours short of creating a superior quality miniature.

As soon as I saw this I thought "This looks like a Tony Reidy joint..."

From the company name to the 'Made in USA' to the Tim Barry renders....

Tim very wisely doesn't mention working for Defiance or Wargames Factory though.

agreed, while the background is all pretty derivative*, it's not actually a laughable mass of Cliche thrown together with no talent or consideration for tone or style.

*and who isn't these days?

Broken Contract looks like something refreshingly different, but will it catch on?

Bad title, Borken COntract, does not inspire backer confidence. BUt what has it got to do with Tony/Defiance? I notice Geng Gendall is involved, and he is a brit that I know, so cant really see the link between Defiance and BroCon. Please elucidate

Tim Barry was the sculptor for all of Wargames Factory's offers up until Tony was booted out, and also sculpted every set Defiance Games put out except the Chinese, including the (will-never-be-released) hardsuits. As far as I know (via Howarr Whitehouse), Mr. Barry no longer has an relationship with Defiance Games or Tony Reidy. MY assumption is that Tim probably got tired of not being paid and/or being associated with that clusterfuck and quietly went his own way (as, it should be mentioned, did Howard Whitehouse).

I'm assuming that's why people are making the connection. It make's me wonder. I'm personally waiting with morbid curiosity to see if Tony will make a reappearance in the industry.
