If you stuck to work like this, you'd get more respect here, but I suppose the BDSM stuff pays the bills.

One question, though -- why do these guys lug those heavy shields around, if they're not going to use them?

I don't make miniatures for any "respect", it's silly. I do what i like.

Shields go together with short swords they have in scabbards. There is one similar guy on Bayeux Tapestry, he holds an axe by both hands and has his shield on back.
But anyway, this models are little bit fantasy because of long swords :)

The shields could be held for missile defence while approaching from a distance, then slung just before the charge.
I Froth because I care about miniatures.

Assume these are in usual resin, which is a shame as i would probably buy them in metal.

Yep, polyurethane resin - and 22.80 Euro for the 4 before postage.

A lot of potential customers must think to themselves "I'd buy those if it wasn't for those pesky anachronistic long swords."

Seems like a strange decision, but Vinni does what he likes... :loopy:

Yes.

At a fiver each I confess I probably wouldn't buy them anyway - I wargame, and would need a lot more than four - but the long swords are a killer blow that finish off any wavering. (and the shields are a fair old mish mash now I look properly).

But I'm not a fantasy gamer so they probably aren't aimed at me. :D
