The figures for this look rather good, if nothing else:

Seems they're also releasing miniature packs for it as well. I'll have to keep an eye on this one :)

Yeah, on the one hand it is very tempting, they look good. On the other, not sure I want to get into another FFG game, they can be huge money sinks.

I'm very tempted, but have heard (on LAF I think?) that they are a bit on the big side, so won't mix well with other manufacturers.

Hmm…

Think I'm going to want those, even if they don't mix well.
It is. And it is not. When it is, and when it is not, is the question or the answer, or both or neither.

I've gone in for it ... payment for painting some figures etc for the store. It plays well from the trial games that I played at the weekend, hence going for it. There's elements of X-wing style of play and some nice mechanics of priority and what you are able to use each turn ... there's not a IGOUGO in exactly the same way as some traditional games so it made it a fun game and I'm sure with more play some more of the complexity will come into it.

The scale does look a little off. More a case of "Aren't you a bit of a big bastard to be stormtrooper?"

But still, the figures do look good.
