Here’s is the full vignette I put together combining our four Austerlitz sets.
As some of you may have noticed, the whole vignette idea is freely based on Canton Woodville’s painting which titles the vignette. We’ve tried to mend some historical inaccuracies, and adapt the painting’s two dimension view to 3D (tricky that is!).
Huge close up shots are really unforgiving with the brushstrokes in this small-scale figures, but I think they are helpful for those who may want to examine how I work on this scale, and how results are achieved. In any case, I hope you like how it’s turned out.
I must admit that when I first saw your painting style, I didn't get it... but now I have been following your diorama work and understand the background of why you paint in the style you do, I am completely hooked.
You manage to pack in so much depth to your work it is truly a wonder to behold.
