Robot Assassin for TFM

Postby the_BADSMILE » Mon Aug 15, 2011 1:37 pm

Hi there girls,

here the latest mini I did for Troll Forged Minis. He stands 34 mm tall as Ed wanted him taller than the average human. The pics suck, but it was the best I could achieve with my cam. :(

Thanks for taking a look !

He comes with two head options, one being a plain robot thing, the other being a humans face that splits open to reveal it's mechanic skull.

Hope you like him !

Cheers, Mati

It's not really working for me.
I don't like/see the point of the sword and I don't really like any of the heads.
The body is alright.
Replace the sword with another gun and re-do the heads (I think they look a bit too small).

I was thinking stormtrooper blaster too, before I'd even finished scrolling past the picture.

Lose the sword. A robot doesn't need one. It should be strong enough to reach into someone's chest and pull out their heart, or grab and crush their skull. If it's armored metal, an opponent with a sword is nothing to fear. Grab the incoming swing at the blade, snap it, and proceed to chest or head.
It is. And it is not. When it is, and when it is not, is the question or the answer, or both or neither.

It's not a stormtrooper blaster. And I like swords.

I like the heads, but the head that is on the body needs to be on a body that is more human-like so that it gives more of the effect of a "revealed robot". As it is now, why would it even have a human face when it is obviously a robot?

The second head looks like it would be great with that body though.

I'm on the fence re. the weapons.

Heads do look a little small, and like others, not keen on the sword. Like the stormtrooper blaster though

What about the sword ? I don't get it. It's a normal ninjato style sword...

As for the heads being too small, I disagree. 8)

I got a wip pic here where I had to do some changes still, the groin protector was too long and so was the neck but maybe you can see the sword better on this one:
