Yes, baby, I can attest to all of that. One evening, a few years ago, I got to witness some of our local cops beating the living shit out of some queers in the street near my apartment. I mean really laying into them with their nightsticks. They didn't arrest them, just beat them to a bloody pulp, and left them moaning on the street, which leaving everything else aside was less than comforting as I had to walk back that way on my return to my apartment which wasn't located in the most salubrious of spots.
