Trolls & Goblins Kickstarter from Aenor Miniatures

Postby Sylvain » Sat Nov 11, 2017 2:24 am

As you could guess from the title, it a kickstarter about Trolls, and Goblins, from Aenor Miniatures!
(the troll is a wip)

Yes, very nice indeed. I'll get some.

Love the troll too, it'll go nicely with some others I have. It's club looks a little overly large to my eye though.

I agree that the goblins are nice and the troll has too large a club. I think it's the part it's holding that bothers me, feels like it couldn't grip the club properly and it would be awkward to wield.

it may look worse on the the picture, but the troll's club situation was bothering me too, so I've been reworking it a bit

and another one, Skrohll the venerable! This old Goblin likes nothing more than collecting (or rather stealing) books, scrolls, or any kind of papers, although he generally loses interest once he gets his hands on them, and moves to the next one. He may not look very dangerous, but don't underestimate him, goblins don't live to be this old without a few tricks up their sleeves!

The Troll's well sculpted but pretty generic and his pose is a bit static, but those gobos are full of personality.
They've got a really classic fantasy vibe to them, like an illustration from an old fighting fantasy book or the goblins from an 80s fantasy movie or something.
Just the right balance of comedy and menace.
The wizard may be a bit stiff but on the whole they're very dynamic and characterful.
Great job. 8)

the first troll is probably a bit less static than this picture suggest (though he's indeed not as dynamic as some of the goblins)
let's see what you think of his buddy ;)

both are of course WIP, and I've modified the 1st troll's right hand after taking the pics ;)

the second troll is funded, now the next SG is another goblin with bow, and we'll just be 1 goblin short of a 10 unique sculpt warband
