And you still don't come to see me and I'm not far from there

Thanks Duff and Skipp, will take you up on those offers. At this rate we can cut a pretty nice North/Northwest route!

So, we're currently drafting up an early itinerary, and it's approximately...

London
Chatham (Geronimo)
Salisbury (to see Stonehenge)
Bath
Bristol (Duff)
Cardiff
Birmingham (Dags thereabouts?)
Nottingham (pete)
Stockport (Dozy)
Manchester
Lancaster (Skipp somewhere around here?)
Kendal
Glasgow
Edinburgh
Aberdeen
Kirkwall
Aberdeen
Glasgow
Dublin
Cork
London

The trip is mainly built around cheap bus routes, cheap flights and (cheap) Frothers. If anyone can put us up for a night or two, I'd be happy to know! No obligation though, as there are plenty of affordable AirBNB spots available. All in all it's about a month long trip, starting a few days before Salute.

Comments etc welcome!

In that case you can start with Chatham and give Ian and myself a hand with the Salute prep. 0;)

I'm in the Pennines, just on the Yorkshire side, Lancaster is an hour and a half away, so a slight kink in your schedule, that said I'd pick you up in Lancaster or Kendal and take you for a days walking...

About 45mins south of Brum, Mikko - between Leamington and Banbury but easy enough to get to if you want to see the sights  :loopy: :puke:

Sound like great sights :D Seriously, we could definitely do that. We're looking to spend a night in Birmingham anyway, and there are probably buses running.

An hour and a half sounds like a long drive for you, would Preston be easier? Apparently there's a Megabus from Manchester to Preston for £5 per person. A day of walking sounds awesome, apparently a lot of great views there - "walk on moors" is one of the top things on our to do list.
