Needed sleep, fuck, that was exhausting. Spoke briefly to Geronimo, Duff and Dozy. Everyone else was a blur. Managed to buy £28s worth of Indian Mutiny before the show opened then was engulfed by a tidal wave of (mostly) humanity, never run out of handouts before, saw virtually nothing of the show, voice mostly gone by 3pm. I think it was fun but I may need to sleep again before I can be sure.

What started out as a quick snifter of BBB's mates home distiller booze, ended up as a solid days boozing, bought little - a Bronze Age minotaur and some OW gubbins, played castle frotheheim, and fell foul to little Harry's perfidy another time...

Good to meet many again, particularly Blackfly and mantatic, who put up with us being frankly banjaxed..

Sorry to have shifted off early, and not had a proper chance to chat with some of you who were working your stalls, but we did have a simply fabulous chinese meal at the Silk Road in camberwell, which I would recommend to everyone, everyone who likes chillis anyway....

On a train home now, should be there in an hour!

And I have your roads . . . .

Yeah, it was a bit manic.

The view from the Hasslefree corner was very educational for me. First wave was those desperate to complete their shopping lists before any other gamer remembered what it was that they wanted and then hit the stand. Then, just like in a zombie movie where someone steps on a twig in the middle of nowhere only to look up and be surrounded by the shambling hordes, the wave of folk were upon us!

It was manic until at least 15.30. The busiest Salute I can remember.

Yep, I tried twice to say hello to Jon, Ian, and Roy, but there were just too many people.

We were wondering what had happened to you. We were busy selling right up until 5 o'clock, definitely the busiest Salute I can remember. I saw absolutely nothing of the show. Both Friday and Saturday evenings were great having a drink with Nate and his lovely missus. Completely forgot to get the grass tufts and weathering pigments I was after but I did get a couple of packs of very nice metal Carthaginians from Agema.

The only thing I pre-ordered and I failed to pick them up  A thousand apologies, well, at least 926.

Best Salute in years for me, zero stress, nice game to hang around, tons of passing Frothers to chat to... Just enough moonshine, beer and weed to make the day go with a swing... pretty girl to take me home...

Double-plus good to chat to the people from Wargame Factory, who surprisingly love us... 8)

What can I say, it was a great Salute for me. Spent both Friday evening and Saturday chatting with various Frothers, got to play the Castle Frotherheim game, bought some stuff...oh, and the badges!

This was my third year attending, and it's definitely always been worth taking the trip from Finland. So I recorded this video message for you:

Only just surfacing from the show now, felt bloody shattered by the time I got back yesterday. Busiest Salute ever for me & Roy, managed my highest take ever despite taking less stock of a smaller range than planned. Maybe I'll make even less effort in future, too :)
