While I admire your taste in pubs and would certainly agree that the Dull Bog and Royal S are two of the best pubs in Croydon; I do think you are being a bit harsh on the rest of the hostelries of the City Of A Thousand Dreams. There's a fair few others that are of outstanding quality and the best of the lot is Clarets in Addiscombe.
Shirley you're really just talking about that cluster of shithole venues in the middle of Croydon that cater for the 17 year olds with fake IDs and other sundry wankers?
Yes only refering to the pubs/clubs along the main drag (or just off of) otherwise I would have also recomended the Oval Tavern. Now under new managment and doing very well.

No, I was standing by the bring'n'buy, wondering where all the water was coming from. I didn't think to look up. Damn me and my silly ways.

if Derby was anything to go by recently, most of the punters are totally unfamiliar with water falling in a vertical direction while indoors .......................

Back and knackered (working in London the Monday following SELWG is never a good idea).
Good to meet Germy and say hi to Dags and Andy. Shame to have missed Humph's toned body but there were three rather good-looking women walking around the show, that's a 200% increase on most shows.
Also managed to get a game of Dystopian Wars in on the day before the show - quite good fun and I'm proud that I resisted the temptation to buy several fleets.

I haven't been in it for over 10 years. On that occasion my wife and her then work colleagues all got food poisoning. If they had stuck with beer and not ordered pizzas which came with lots of (no doubt dodgy) salad then it wouldn't have happened.
I'm sure it is much improved.
It's happening again...
