The Britcon Trade Show & Competition

Britcon, the largest event in the BHGS calendar and one of the largest wargaming shows in the North West will be returning to the now-familiar surroundings of UMIST in (always-sunny) Manchester with gaming taking place over the Friday-Sunday of 9-11th August 2013, and the Britcon Trade Show open to the public over the weekend:

Trade Show hours
10th August - 10am till 5pm
11th August - 10am till 3pm

Traders confirmed include Ainsty Castings, Ancient & Modern, AW Miniatures, Colonel Bills, Crucible of Lead, Cuirassier Books, Dave Lanchester, Donnington Miniatures, Instant Armies, Lesley’s Bits Box, Magister Militum, Miniature Men, Newline Designs, Offensive Miniatures, Warlord Games, Stafford Games, as well as show regular Dave Thomas showing ranges from Perry Miniatures, Crusader Miniatures, Artizan Designs, Northstar’s ‘1644, AfricA and IHNM ranges, Warfare Miniatures, Dead Mans Hand, SAGA, Muskets And Tommahawks, Great War Miniatures plus a near-full range of the latest plastic figures from Perry, Wargames FActory, Victrix Games, Fireforge And Valiant.

We will have demo games from Warlord Games, Battlefront, The Lance & Longbow Society and Donnington Miniatures

Onsite catering comes in the shape of the University cafe, and The Wargamers bar

If you are coming to the trade show why not reserve a ticket in advance and we will let you in for free - yes, that's right, no entry cost at all! We know there is a recession out there, so we want you to be able to spend all of your hard earned cash with our loyal traders... and you can't say fairer than that..

By registering in advance we will be able to send you up to date information on who will be there, what new products they will have on show, and whether they have any Britcon special offer at the show as well - so not only do you not have to pay to get in, the stuff you buy may even be cheaper too.

We will also be keeping all of our players in the two main gaming rooms - so you will be able to see all of the competitors on one easy place, no searching for your mate Dave up from London but missing him, only to find he was playing in a pokey impossible to find broom cupboard upstairs ...

We even have a few spaces left in some of our competition periods, if that's your thing. Check the website for details

See you there

Pity we don't have a tumbleweed emoticon. I'm not the only Frother near Manchester, am I? It's free entry!

I'm near Manchester - so I really ought to go. It's just that I'd spend money. :(

It'll come down to how I feel on the day - flush or flushed.

Won't be there due to other commitments but Andy will be (and probably horribly hungover after a night on the piss with DaveT)

It's a kind offer and I'm sure you can get help to lift it, but I'm going to stay at home and assemble the Griffin House. Anything to reduce the mdf pile 8)

Shame you didn't make it, Dave T & I were the only Frothers there, although I did wonder about the bloke in the string vest.......

Ouch!

I enjoyed it, but must admit it seems alot more humble since I've been to a couple of Salutes. Plus there was only one stall that sold brushes, and that was Warlord.
