Yea, but when you get to my age it's best to make ones intentions known right up front...

They are quite a few clubs in and around the city plus a few shops that offer late night gaming sessions but its no good saying head to the White Hart in Lenton on a Thursday if its role playing the FG is after coz they'd be horrible disappointed.

There's one in Long Eaton, mostly playing Mantic stuff but games designer Alessio Cavatore will be demoing Fanticide there on the 27th of October

There's also Maelstrom games oop north near Mansfield, which hosts many different games in its gaming hall, though I don't know if that counts as a club.

For what Pete's talking about, the public toilets in Bulwell town centre are right up your street

Nottingham Clubs

Postby Notts Gamer » Mon Nov 05, 2012 2:51 pm

Hi to group, One appreciates you all have a favourite Gaming place and I'm acting out of personal interest in order to get a new place up and running. Also to improve the gaming in Nottingham, yet one is trying to gather interest in a alternate venue for wargaming, even on weekends.
What one was hoping for was to bridge the gap between Uni gamers and Nottingham gamers to help create a HUB of gaming interest and culture, like we used to have.

Marcus Ansell of Wargames Foundry said

?Mostly we?re interested in getting a gaming club going at the factory, we?d really like to have a community of gamers we can be directly involved with regularly. We?d also enjoy regular wargaming going on at our factory. Unfortunately we haven?t had anyone get in contact with us about using our factory space as a gaming hall but we?re actually willing to be very flexible about when we open for a gaming club. Anyone?

If you are interested please do get in tough with Foundry as they are local, St Mark St, near Aldi?s..

Yep, try Floundry, its located on Nottinghamshire's worst street for car crime...

Like i said there are about four shops that would love you to come and game in... Vague Connections, Mondo Comico, Chimera in Beeston...

Mondo comics

Mondo has closed down, and Chimera just seems to be Magic Orientated, so many are these days though.

Would like to know more on WG Foundry though

yep, and people said it was going to be a fad...

Mondo has moved into a warehouse space, opposite the old Angel pub, on Warser Gate...
he was unhappy about moving, from the conversation i had with him, but the rents sounded better in a warehouse space as opposed to a 'shop'...
Best of lock to him i say, tough times for independent retailers... :?
