I went to an event in Ipswich last night, very large turnout and played some good games. I didnt know previously about this Will Wheaton series, it seems to have made boardgaming very popular now.
Ticket to ride, small world and pandemic were all good to play.

Quite a lot of stuff happened in Notts, mostly small scale (natch) events, a cafe here, a bar there... All very encouraging... 8)

Much as I hated Wesley Crusher, Wil Wheaton has been a huge part of the 'Making Geek, fine' movement that has been going on for a while.

And his tabletop channel is great for introducing people to games you may never have thought about playing with a clear description of the rules and gameplay, and it is often incredibly funny watching it. The Ticket to Ride:Europe episode with John Kovalic was brilliant.
