Saw the 4th book of the series by Toby Frost is out - A Game of Battleships - picked it up as the first three were great - anyone read it yet, is it as good as the previous ones?

ADD kicked in and I never got around to opening Book 2 although it's on the nightstand. I was reading Book 1 of 5 The Franco-German War 1870-71. Not surprisingly it paints a pretty one sided picture of what was apparently a pretty one sided event; the French Imperial phase of the war.

Perhaps it's time to return to Captain Smith.

He was in Waterstones in St Albans doing a signing the other week. Local lad apparently.

Saw him at Lincoln Asylum and the books are getting better and better.

He read some of the latest and cracked me up with some of the humour...

Maybe one day then, not enough originality in the first one to make me want more.
