Finally the first unit of Goths is ready after their stint in the vanishing queue waiting and giving the glass a week to go off before matting down. It takes time but it's worth it just to know that any speckling/frosting is as minimal as possible.

Unlike their Early Byzantine enemies it has taken a wee bit more time to get the unit finished due to the none uniform appearance. I really love painting up Bill's sculpts - they are a bit like Crusader miniatures in that there is plenty of surface area to play around with.

I'm not going to go all girly and weak at the knees (apologies for 1970s offensive genderist characterisations)but I do like these very much indeed. I particularly like the way your blond hair looks like hair - my Saxons/Danes/Norse all look as if they have bought dodgy nylon wigs for a Stag do.
I was saying on the SC thread that there are exquisite painters out there and someone said they weren't sure there were any left on here any more. Well at the risk of being a LAF lovey, there's definitely one at least.

Thanks you so much! I really don't know what to say, but there are certainly much better painters out there then me :)

I will, of course, take the compliment :)
