It's shit.

No, really? I am surprised no-one else has noticed.

Shit it may be, but it is proving to be enormously lucrative shit.

I refuse to watch any more comic book movies, they are all just cookie-cutter crap, with the people making them constantly watching each other's work for ideas. I keenly anticipate a whole raft of 'edgier than deadpool' movies to ignore.

(admit I watched Deadpool. It was refreshing, but at the same time you could almost see their workings. 'Edgier. Edgier! Whoa, not THAT edgy...... yes, that's about it..... done')

Amended for accuracy. Honestly, Marvel showed them the template, gave them a PowerPoint presentation using really simple words and pictures and they still keep really fucking it up. It's not like they were boldly going where....you know the rest.

I rather enjoyed it. It's a mess, with a fucking stupid plot and shit villain, but the charisma of the leads carry in through.

It comes across as very confused.

how they managed to make the first 40 odd minutes of introductions of some of the most classic DC characters ...so fucking boring is beyond me. It was like the introduction to the weirdest talent show ever.

then the plot spends all its time being confused over whether the main story is the enchantress one or the Joker one.

then it settles down for the last 30 minutes and is pretty good.

Evidence of the studio interfering after BvS or just another incompetent shitfest of a DC movie...who knows.

According to Jared Leto, there's a lot of stuff that ended up on the cutting room floor, enough to make a Joker movie.

I'd agree with that. It tried too hard though. Every set piece 'cool' scene had a 'cool' song, like someone forced their top ten playlist in
