why is my website blocked?

Postby Bob Olley » Thu Mar 26, 2015 6:15 pm

Hi I went to update my details and noticed my website url was incorrect but when I corrected it and tried to submit, a message said it was blocked,

The domain olleysarmies.co.uk you have used for your website has been blocked because it is blacklisted. For details please see http://www.ahbl.org/lktool?lookup=olleysarmies.co.uk.
An entry on the blacklist may have several reasons:
1. You are a well-known spammer.
2. Last time a well-known spammer was using the dynamic IP address which you got from your ISP (Internet Service Provider), your e-mail address or the username you have choosen.
3. Your ISP is well-known for a lot of spamming customers and is not fighting against spammers enough.

never considered myself a spammer which was the reason it gave, surely there is a mistake. But strangely my website still appears to be connected at the bottom of this post, what's going on??

It happens to everybody here. Close your browser and log back in, that normally fixes it.
I'm amazed that you've not encountered that before as it seems to be quite common here.
Basically the forum is fucked!
