What browser are you using?

Postby Rev Nice » Mon Apr 08, 2013 9:01 pm

There seems to be several people getting drop shadows and blurred text on these boards.

I don't see any of that in my firefox (which seems to be the 12.0 version).
However, when I view the site in Chrome, it's much, much harder to read.

Everything is still clear in IE8. (8.0 6001.18702) But told it needs upgrading, not surprising since I haven't bothered to do so with it since 2009)

I use Chrome and, honestly don't have a problem with it - I can see a slight difference between the page on Firefox (don't know what version) and Chrome :?

It's definitely your eyes then - the effect is pretty clearly stated in the CSS (text-shadow on body) and it's supported by FF and Chrome for a very long time, but not IE < 10.

Firefox, which can't be upgraded unless I spend a grand on a new Mac. Safari = still looks poo, even though I can change the colours.
It's the font and it's size, and the whole layout that is at fault.

I'm using chrome on mac and pc - was using firefox but it went tits up on the mac and all the images, menus, anything goes at a 45 degree slant and replicates itself across the page so bollocks to using that again. must say I am very impressed with Chrome. Still fucking difficult to read Frothers with the font though.

The drop shadow effect is definitely not showing up in Firefox 12.0 so I'm not updating that if I can help it.

My Chrome is the latest version (26.0.1410.43 m) and that is much, much harder to read.

Incidentally, it's only my IE 8 that displays 'The free for all web forums' on the top banner.

This is all shit :(

And I shouldn't have to download anything to simply change colours. It wouldn't make any difference anyway, because it's still a shit style. And the text really is annoying.

What version are you using - and do you get the drop shadow blur effect?
