is there actually an admin guy?

It's great Frothers is back but it's been months or more since I've been able to log on, can try getting a new password as much as you want but the link always goes to "Not authorised" instead of actually working

Yeah, I'm sorry but the 'new password' function is fucked.
The main reason for members being get kicked out of their accounts is when they put in a new e-mail addy in their profile.

For some reason, the software gets confused and refuses to acknowledge the changes and just throws a hissy fit.
The only solution to this is a manual fix.

These things aren't caught immediately because they don't show up as errors anywhere on the webmaster side when they happen.
They have to be pointed out.

Now I know people are justifiably pissed off when they wait for months after pointing it out on this thread but that's because the bulk of the webmaster's attention is going on weeding out who is a genuine person trying to join and what is the unfortunately impressive army of spambots and their human minions. This can be hundreds of membership requests at a time. (Frothers, for some reason, seems to be a very juicy target for the spammers to want a nibble of.)

Apart from offering this explanation, all I can do is offer apologies until the webmaster has waded through the bulk of problems and found your request.

It's targeted due to the number of frothers who probably have porn linked bugs that drag the spammers here.

Looks like the most obvious fix would be a new website or to get a few more humans to do the weeding or admin (password) stuff.
