He had such a huge influence on the culture, I hope they find some way to memorialise him.
Such a larger than life personality deserves to be remembered IMHO, not just his work. I hope he gets a statue or something.

I can't help wondering if the superhero genre will retain it's stranglehold on the mainstream media without his constant good natured spruiking.

It'll be a long time before we see another one like him.

Of course, it's important to remember two artists who co-created the Silver Age at Marvel, along with Stan: Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko.

For various reasons, neither of them received the full recognition they deserved, outside of comics circles.
Ditko was something close to a recluse, anyway. He died this past June, BTW.
