6mm Arnhem

Postby Steders » Thu Jul 06, 2017 9:04 am

I 'll have to take some photos of the troops. I have hordes of H&R all painted up ready to go. I wanted to try the rapid fire grand manner campaign using the entirety of 1st Airbourne. We played it at Derby one year in 15mm but didn't have enough players to reach a conclusion. Its got so many troops it would need a couple of days to play so it needs to be left setup. That's why I went with 6mm.

Nice looking set up you wankstain.
When I die I want the Arsenal players to lower me into my grave so they can let me down one last time.

Good stuff, one of my favourite battles.

I adapted the boardgame Hells Highway to play the entire campaign in 6mm, and we've also done it three times with Megablitz (once 6mm, twice in 20mm). Score is 2:3 Allies to Germans so far, which sounds about right.

Wow  For the first time I can see the point of 6mm (although not the troops obviously). That does look very impressive.

Do you have to swing in the gimp harness to reach the table centre?

Bloody lovely set up.
Not sure how Featherstone would feel about the unpainted buildings though.
He might give you a stiff missive and a severe typing.

(Still want to see the figs on it though :D)
