Transgender women consider themselves to be women (albeit trapped in male bodies) so they might not consider themselves to be homosexual. They're attracted to men as women. Homosexual men are usually referred to as gay, so calling the trandgenders gay might be seen as willfully ignoring their chosen gender. A bit like saying she's a dude!. They consider themselves women, they choose to live as women, we should accept them as women regardless of their birth gender. That's the considerate thing to do.
