Yes that's a bit sad. It would just need an obligation to register before posting (which I understand was not needed nor wanted in the old days) and someone to kick the trolls out.

However I understand there may be no motivation for it. When I discovered Colonel Marble's showcase and other Frothers-related websites years ago they already had not been updated since long.

Talking politics, and making fun of TMP, is certainly not enough to maintain a forum supposed to talk about miniatures if there is no longer a real slot or precise approach? Very good other miniature forums, TWW and LAF, catch and deserve more attention.

I agree about TWW (and LAF though it always feels oddly bland - it's nearly all about the paint job not the game) being good.

As for our Troll(s) I don't care who they are or think they are but they obviously have no interest in wargaming, just trolling.

Lots of people made serious offers to help out with moderation but no-one ever seemed interested enough to pass the offers on or do anything about them. I understand Doc and co started it as a personal thing years ago and probably have moved on but it seems sad to let anyone trash the place just because no-one can be bothered appointing some new mods.

I'm not bothered about the SC thread, indeed there were good discussions on there that should have been over on this side of the house, and active mods could and would in the past have moved them to their own gaming threads here.

It's interesting that as the Random Platypus site died, our trolls became very active here. Coincidence no doubt.
