State of the Union - pre/post election & whatever...

Here you can discuss anything froth related that does not fit into another forum, or indeed any nonsense that should enter your head.

“Almost amusing” tops your unimaginative, repetitive, dull, boring and “still not funny” any day.

Beware, America. Beware...

https://uk.yahoo.com/news/trump-lashes- ... 00837.html

How long until he suspends all elections.
Don't just stick your heads in the sand and say, 'it wouldn't ever happen.'
How many more hints do you need about what kind of person he is? Remember what happened in 1933.
It all starts so innocently enough...

same nonsense has been spouted for several of the past presidents and yet nothing ever comes of it just like it will with this

How many of them toyed publicly with the idea of staying in office?

Link didn’t work for me, so I Googled this up:

It's amazing what appears when you Google "Trump lashes out"! :wry:

In your link there's mention of whether he'd take input from a foreign government on an opponent for an election - you know, like Obama did more than once - but I missed anything about staying on.

Obama took that same oath but repeatedly violated it.

I suspect if there is a clip of Trump publicly musing about it, the only difference is that he did his musing publicly while others did not. Publicly stating more than once that he believed he would win an election for a third term implies that he might have desired to just remain in office so the hope and change he promised he could continue to deliver no matter the cost, the number of violations of the separation of powers and taking upon himself powers specifically NOT granted to the president what he (always the smartest man in the room - just ask him) KNEW we needed.

Won't happen. Didn't with the lawbreaker. Won't with Trump.

Ever question whether at least some of the stuff he says is intentionally designed to change the subject on the front page as well as to drive the opposition nuts?
