Before that job, I worked with a girl who owned a Gremlin -- with denim seat covers.

The Gremlin is another one I have bad childhood memories of. And the Cricket. And the Vega. My mom bought every lemon she could for awhile there.

Corvairs were nice cars compared to the stuff my mom bought. Her Vega’s aluminium motor melted down in the middle of I-94.
