Around March 2006 I was sculpting some alien figures for my own private collection. More than a decade later I would not imagine that this specific sculpt would still actually be a point of interest big enough to have it spin cast and reproduced in metal for some friends. I do sometimes wonder the longevity of the pieces I have done so long ago.

Now with so many I will repose and convert some to finally have a unit of 5 Tau Genestealer hybrids.

Used my Greenstuff leftovers to build this one. THis tree has been on my desk for about 6 months or so.

I've had a dead rhino beetle on my desk for at least three years and he hasn't crumbled, but I'm sure he's a bit delicate and wouldn't hold up to much handling so you may be right.
But then you can always just go out and pick up some more dead bugs, can't you?

Your larger, more fantastic bugs seem like they would be very useful though. :froth:

I wonder if dead bugs would just decompose and become too fragile to handle.

Those don't look very threatening. If I wanted some bugs like that I'd probably just use dead bugs, ones that had died of natural causes of course... :dodgy:
