Yeah yeah, I know -- the chances of anyone here having read her stuff are miniscule. And all I've read are the excerpts in the infamous --and hilarious -- review by Clive James of "Princess Daisy", which is my excuse for posting this.

In a later interview, James pointed out that he did pay her the compliment of calling the book "unputdownable", "though I could have said the same about a pot of glue".
