Frothers Unite! UK

Still haven't watched it yet, as -- lazy boy that I am -- discovered an earlier one of hers on youtube, and got into a binge. No fantasy/horror elements at all, though; this one's a family melodrama, with enough convoluted plot lines to satisfy Dickens.

IU's storyline is Ugly Duckling, which, judging from the comments (and my own impression) is the biggest misstep in the series. Her character's supposed to be plain and unattractive. Yeah, right.

Yeah, well, from what I can gather, Kdramas tend to feature a lot of Doomed Lovers stories.

I can relate, so when I come back after watching, you can regard me as a biased reviewer.

Plus I have a soft spot for IU. Two strikes. :(

Not exactly terrifying. The show looks too much like a romance for my taste.

It's a Korean miniseries from last year. Apparently highly rated, though I've seen only a few clips. Here's the trailer:
