Green stuff world got shirty over the paint and "ALLEGEDLY" stole the idea for the tube rollers...

I was always under the impression (no doubt mistaken) the 'Green Stuff was a brand name as well

Don't know where I got that idea.

However presumably not.

Out of interest does anyone else make a 'green' putty? I mean the colour not a sculpting putty.

I tried Pro Create some years ago and it was okay but I haven't seen any about recently. Then again I probably haven't looked too hard.

Green Stuff World?
Why are they dicks? Allegedly?
Was it them that got shirty about the words 'Color Shift' for paints and made other people change name?

AFAIK, green stuff and brown stuff are the generic names used by hobbyists for Kneadatite, so a company calling itself Green Stuff World isn't in violation of anything. Green Stuff World also stocks ProCreate from Kraftmark and I switched to this putty ages ago, as both green and brown stuff could be replicated, depending on the ratio.

Green Stuff World are dicks, but AFAIK, they're the only ones that make mail texture plates - I'm crap concerning mail. :(

The company has a rather shady reputation in some quarters. Whether it’s deserved or not, I’ve never bothered to find out.

That's what I always understood but then loads of 'Green Stuff World' appeared when I googled it and I saw that archive saying they 'produced' green Stuff.

I didn't know if there had been a sale of the company, the name, whether it was produced under licence, or it was just a mistake.

The idea of a company calling itself Green Stuff World without actually being a part of the manufacturing organisation seems odd.

It seems like starting an online shop selling fantasy and SF figures, paints and brushes and calling it Games Workshop World and not getting a cease and disorder on day one.

According to the sheet that comes with the putty, Kneadatite is what the product is called and it is a Registered trade mark of Polymeric Systems Inc, in the USA.

Possibly - I was scrabbling round this morning (but no drink involved nor last night) searching for a supply as I am about to run out. Normally buy from Sylmasta but they are out of the roll. Came across Green Stuff World - never crossed my horizon before and this:

https://www.miniature-heroes.co.uk/product-category/green-stuff-world/ popped up.

Green Stuff World produce a range of market leading hobby accessories for painting, converting and sculpting your own miniatures.

From putties like Green and Brown Stuff, through to Leaf Punches, Textured Rolling Pins, Brass Pinning Rod and a whole lot more.

Also a couple of sites suggesting the same thing - one Firestorm games Cardiff (now only on the google search header that I can see).

Where do they claim they make it? They sell Green Stuff, made by Kneadatite. That's pretty explicit in their Etsy storefront.

Maybe some stronger coffee?

I'm not sure this makes any difference to anything but I'm confused.

I have always been under the impression (because everyone including them says so) that Kneadatite make Green Stuff.

Now all of a sudden I see 'Green Stuff World' based in Spain all over the place and claiming they make it.

Is Green Stuff World part of Kneadatite? Vice Versa, Somebody else?
