Those extra fees/fines seem to be the recurring theme for this year :(

Getting fined £130 for driving 5 yards in a bus lane last year didn't help either

Stand cost is second only in price to Salute, takings aren't.

Shame, but those trips to Mordor were clearly taking their toll

See you all at SELWG in a couple of weeks. We are currently casting and packing as much of the Fantasy Warriors range as we possibly can in readiness.

We will also be bringing the Future Skirmish range as well … assuming we haven't sold it all at Blast-Tastic ;-)

Enjoy

Gary

SELWG is a lot like Salute, about one third of the size. Just as easy to get to from most places, but slightly further out of central London. Ten minute walk from Crystal Palace train station, in the sports center in the middle of the historic Crystal Palace Park.

The best thing is the nice clean fresh chlorine smell in the air from the swimming pool, which swamps the stink of fat beardy wargamers quite well. And you can sit down in the specatator area to eat your sandwiches at lunchtime and oggle Humphrey doing the doggy paddle in his speedos! What could be more fun?

And if you are bored and want to check out the local area: Victorian ruined Crystal Palace to the north, Dinosaurs to the South and right outside the front, in what is now the middle of the running track (there was a motor racing circuit there at the time), this happened: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8g_GeQR8fJo (you can see the Crystal Palace TV transmitter behind Michael Caine's head).

I'll never understand why so many Frothers make such effort to turn up at Salute but don't bother with SELWG.

Used to be my favourite show. Good mix of traders and games. Haven't been for a few years mind you....

Yeah, it's a good show that always has a good spread of traders.

Gets a bit hot and humid, what with the swimming pool and all.

I should be there this year. I'll have to make sure I pack my tidy blue Speedos for a lunch time dip, if anyone else is interested?
