Aye-up...

Sorry for dropping the ball on this one, life got a bit heck-tick over the summer and time i had planned to spend sorting this out has been used up else where.

still look on the bright side, The Orb are playing the Garvey (basically my local club) on the 9th so i can go to that instead....

What he said.

So this is dead as a dodo then.

So....is Frothcon as dead as the hamsters this year?

Would suggest the following:

1. A max of one or two committee members (as we will require a deposit to confirm the venue booking) agree to organise a venue. Would suggest we go for a venue a bit more accessible....midlands is doable for most, but there is a difference between a Partizan-style venue (ie Newark, NG24) and the perceived arse-end-of-nowhere that is the current proposal.

2. The organisers report back by end of October with a venue AND a date for next year, avoiding major UK events (ideally one that is scalable...ie doable with 20 of us, but can get more room if there is a lot more?) Everyone then has time to either make sure they are available, or come up with limpwristed excuses why they can't come.

3. Get some commitment .... (difficult I know around here) .... Book it by end of Nov.

4. Froth on.

Difference is Jon is "working" for Ainsty that weekend, so he won't be "doing a sneaky" ...

I have done a sneaky and managed to get the weekend off before too. (I think).

Actually the 5 of the 9 'narps' are in the north so it isn't location.

I'm working that weekend so it was never a goer for me this time :(

Isn't Humph off to the Arctic?

Is it more to do with location? Looking at the Narps it looks like a majority are southern softies. I'm guessing that if it was just this side of the Watford gap somewhere - perhaps Essex, it would be doable for more?

Aye - was game - but, fun though it would be, not seeing huge point if theres only half a dozen of us. Thats not much of a 'con' - we've had bigger turnouts at AGMs.
