Yep, proper show.

New venue worked mostly well - took too long to get the punters in as we could still see a queue at 11 (an hour after it opened) but otherwise, tiptop.

And the change of date - a week earlier than usual (therefore not payday weekend) didn't affect things 8)

Surprisingly busy until 3 (a first for Partizan as it normally dies at lunch)

Thanks for the link, LT - they were all at the far end of the hall and I got nowhere near them :(

What did you do to them??

Gave them money in exchange for a pitch on their camp site. Apparently I offended their aesthetic sensibilities. Hard to believe I know.

Quick look at the traders list... there isn't a one-stop shop that I can see. Col. Bill's keeps the 4Ground tools, Dodgy Dave at Caliver might have something as may non-Dodgy Dave at Northumbrian Tin Soldier

While I'm asking things; chap at work is after someone who could do a good job painting 28mm 30 year war stuff for him. If anyone has any reccs. Or does it and wants to pitch.

I'm, basically, fully booked at the moment. Roy (Duff) was crying out for an historical commission recently...

(I've got these Kryomek figures, and I've swapped a bunch of the arms round for pose variety and now need to extend some of the alieny-tubey bits.)

I thought Arcane would do it, but I could only find milliput on the site.

It looks like it's a much bigger show, significantly more games, possibly more traders (sorry Ian, but I'm sure it will be worth it :D ). Given its position - sort of halfway up England and just off a major road - and with space to (almost) rival Salute it could do very well.

But I for one will miss being casually insulted by the Kelham Hall staff.

Yarp.

I'll miss Kelham - could never tire of that ceiling (if you could see it through the gloom) but not the get-in/get-out (which was a pita)

New venue is much easier and better lit.

Nope :argue: Another cancellation. This latest bloody KS had better be worth it :)

Hope to - went to Hammerhead earlier this year here.

The site is a lot lot better than the old dark Kelham but can get loud at times. Parking is on grass but only a car length or two from a road so it's not like a soggy Vapnartak. Food was not bad but space to eat is limited.

All in all should be worth a visit.
